Return - for strings, flute and percussion.

This work began with a very simple idea: two notes oscillating back and forth. As the piece unfolds, the basic harmonies - triads - become displaced as each voice alternates its pitch up and down at a different rate of speed. Over this undulating texture, the flute and marimba play figures that repeat, and in the marimba's case gradually use smaller and smaller note values. The work then proceeds to a lyrical middle section before return to the original idea(s).

An Ever Lightening Sky - for sustaining and pulsating instruments.

And I Alone Am Left - for solo violin, horns, and strings.

Billings - for string orchestra.
